CBF Global Missions Urban Ministry Team
God is at work in the city, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship intentionally seeks to join God’s mission in urban environments.
As more people move to cities, urban ministry becomes even more important, and you have an opportunity to become involved. The Fellowship has a team of field personnel who specialize in urban ministry. Known as the CBF Urban Team, these field personnel can help you connect with God’s mission and engage your passion for urban ministry.
You will learn from the poor and marginalized about the nature of God, partner with others in helping to share the love of Christ, and encourage others in discovering their value and gifts they can offer to the world.
The mission of CBF’s Urban Team is to be the presence of Christ among the urban poor and marginalized through holistic ministries. They strive to become and be:
• Catalysts for transformation for individuals and communities
• Advocates on behalf of the urban poor and marginalized
• Facilitators and providers of holistic ministries
• Encouragers and educators empowering individuals and
churches to be involved in ministry with the urban poor
• Co-laborers with indigenous leaders in our communities
