The Fellowship's resources for ministers

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship has a commitment to discovering, developing and nurturing ministry leaders.

Ways to engage with CBF include:

  • Connect with the Fellowship's Initiative for Ministerial Excellence (IME). This Lilly Endowment-funded initiative started in 2003 features a sabbatical resources, a nationwide network of peer learning groups for ministers, and a  ministry residency program where CBF partner churches serve as teaching congregations for recent seminary graduates. The initiative has also produced a resource called WellBeing and Excellence in Ministry. The goal of IME is to help sustain healthy ministers and deliver practical help to congregational leaders across the country. For more information, contact Steve Graham (770) 220-1675.
  • Find a job through CBF's Reference and Referral program, which helps connect you with churches seeking ministers.
  • Come and find rest at one of the Fellowship's spiritual formation retreats specifically designed for ministers. CBF also offers Narrative Leadership Retreats for ministers.
  • Stay informed about CBF ministries. Subscribe to regular CBF publications including the free Fellowship! magazine and the ChurchWorks e-newsletter, which is full of ministry ideas and education opportunities.
