CBF Works with Two Texas Churches

CBF worked with two churches to help equip people for ministry. The first event was with South Main Baptist Church, Houston, on September 20. South Main held a conference on Human Trafficking in which about 200 people attended. The participants heard a variety of speakers address the topic of human trafficking—included among the speakers were three CBF Field Personnel (missionaries).

A second event was the annual Preaching Practicum, which was sponsored by Wilshire Baptist Church on October 6-7.  The featured speakers were George Mason, pastor of Wilshire, and David Wood, senior minister of Glencoe Union Church in Glencoe, IL. 28 ministers attended the event, and of that number 17 were under the age of 35.  CBF helped with the refreshments for the meeting.

If your church is planning a training event and you would like to have CBF as a participant, please contact the CBF TX office.
