It's Time Missional Ministry Grant Application

Has your church completed the study, It’s Time: A Journey Toward Missional Faithfulness? If so, perhaps a new vision for ministry came from your study and now you and your church are ready to minister tangibly in new and creative ways within your community.

In 2006, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship received a grant from the Christ is Our Salvation foundation. A portion of that grant established the It’s Time Missional Ministry grant to encourage CBF churches in their missional journey. Grants up to $25,000 are available to qualifying churches whose application meets a committee’s approval. Grants are awarded on a one-time basis. Churches may not reapply for additional grant funds after receipt of an It's Time Grant.

Through the application process an understanding of missional and the missional nature of the proposed ministry must be demonstrated. Initiatives that are passion-driven rather than programmatic are most successful in the application process.

Eligibility requirements are:

• The church applying must demonstrate an affiliation with CBF.

• The church must have completed the It’s Time study and utilized the resources provided for leaders as well as students.

• The proposed ministry must be a new initiative of the church.

• The proposed ministry must engage and meet the needs of the surrounding community with whom you minister, geographically.

• The proposed ministry must involve as many congregants and generations of the church as possible.

• The proposed ministry must be self-sustaining, ongoing and innovative.
Grant funds may not be used for: 
       Capital Expenditures
             • Purchasing property or buildings.
             • Fixing physical problems with or constructing facilities for the building if it results in a major investment of resources.
             • Restoring an old building for a new or different use.
             • Construction of buildings
