Area Coordinator for Missions Teams

Hometown: Atlanta

As an area coordinator for mission teams, Smith works with five of CBF's field personnel teams, Albania-Ukraine, North Africa, Gypsy, International-Euro and Transformational Development. She offers guidance and coaching in team process, budgets, strategic planning and networking. She represents CBF to the European Baptist Federation and to our partners in Europe and North Africa.

"Our field personnel are doing wonderful work all around the globe," Smith said. "Being a part of their team meetings and reporting processes gives me a better awareness of that work and a closer relationship to them. Team process is not always easy, but we know it is important for accountability, strategic planning and fellowship."

Smith grew up as a child of missionaries in Paraguay. After college, she worked in Argentina for two years. Smith married Jim Smith, CBF's director of field ministries, and together they served in Austria and then Berlin.

"Cross-cultural missions is a huge part of who I am," Smith said. "Being a part of CBF Global Missions has allowed me to continue to fulfill that call to missions."
