This site was created to respond to misinformation propagated about the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and its ministries.
CBF is a fellowship of Baptist Christians and churches who share a passion for the Great Commission and a commitment to Baptist principles of faith and practice. The Fellowship’s mission is to serve Christians and churches as they discover and fulfill their God-given mission.
But, as Daniel Vestal, the Fellowship's national coordinator, said in a message to the Fellowship's Coordinating Council in February 2003, not everyone accepts this mission at face value.
"We will continue to be caricatured, criticized and maligned," he said. "Jesus said to rejoice when someone speaks evil about you. We are a labeled and sometimes li
beled group."
It saddens us to have to set the record straight, but since this Fellowship came into being in 1991, there has been a steady drumbeat of negativism and slander about this movement of Christians, its leaders and its partners.
This site will address those concerns and provide real-time, up-to-date facts to compare to the "labels and libels."
