Volume 2, Chapter 3 - Arab-American Friendship Center, Brooklyn, N.Y.

  • November focuses on the ministry of the Arab American Friendship Center in Brooklyn, New York. The Offering for Global Missions DVD shares the story of the Center and work of Nomie Derani. The video segment, Embrace the World - Brooklyn, is available to download at www.thefellowship.info/ogm and the DVD can be ordered from the CBF Store.
• Additional ideas:
  • The November unit of Form encourages preschoolers to fill envelopes for the Offering for Global Missions which supports the ministry of the Arab American Friendship Center. Consider setting a class goal for your youth to collect for the Offering. Envelopes to be used for the CBF Offering for Global Missions to accompany the November unit as well as posters are available at the CBF Store.
  • The November unit of Spark encourages children to collect new and gently used games to send to the Center. Consider joining the children and collecting games from your class to send to Brooklyn.

  • Spark includes a simple giving guide to help children collect money for digging wells in Zambia. Consider challenging the youth in your group to use the same suggestions to raise funds to support the work of the Turners.  Download and print this guide for each member of your group.
