Alban Institute :   The Alban Institute is an ecumenical, interfaith organization which supports congregations through book publishing, educational seminars, consulting services, and research.  Alban has published many books on the subject of funding congregational mission.    

Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Foundation :  The CBF Foundation supports stewardship through the management of endowment, reserve and special funds, the various ministries of CBF, Fellowship partners and congregations.  Don Durham, Foundation President, is an excellent resource for beginning an endowment ministry in your church.  

Ecumenical Stewardship Center :  ESC serves Christian denominations, institutions, organizations and congregations in developing creative and vital stewardship ministries.  ESC provides annual stewardship emphasis materials and “Giving”, an annual stewardship magazine.

Generous Giving :  Generous Giving seeks to encourage givers of all income levels – as well as pastors, church lay leaders and others – to experience the joy of giving and embrace a lifestyle of generosity.  Generous Giving provides an extensive selection of materials and resources that encourage generous giving. 

Good Sense Ministry :  Good Sense is a financial stewardship ministry based in the local church.  It supports the pastor in the often difficult ministry of encouraging the congregation to honor God with their money and possessions.  Good Sense is a product of the Willow Creek Association.                    

Ministry of Money :  Ministry of Money provides opportunities for women and men to explore their relationship to money from a faith perspective and serves as a consistent resource as people continue on their personal and collective faith and money journeys.   

National Association of Church Business Administration :  NACBA is an interdenominational, professional, Christian organization which exists to promote the highest level of professional competence to individuals serving Christ through administration in local churches.  NACBA provides stewardship resources.  

Your Money or Your Life :  This best selling book also has a website that developed by The New Road Map Foundation and Simple Living.  The book provides practical exercises that reveal how spending patterns are, or are not, in alignment with personal beliefs and values.      

The Stelter Company :  Stelter’s mission is to assist charitable organizations in accomplishing their missions by writing, designing, producing and distributing high-quality direct mail newsletters, collateral material and Internet-based products. Churches will find Stelter to be a one-stop shop for planned giving information written in a highly readable and understandable style.

Virtual Giving, Inc. :  Virtual Giving was founded to produce Internet-based planned giving marketing.  They concentrate innovation and creativity on the one marketing tool that is essential to getting non-profits’ messages heard: Websites and Web-related materials, such as targeted postcards.   

Redeemer Presbyterian Church of New York :  Redeemer provides an excellent stewardship pages on its website.  Content includes sermons, Bible study, 20-day Stewardship Devotional, video, FAQ’s.  This site is an excellent example of how to build stewardship pages for your church’s website.

First Baptist Church of Greenville, SC :  The media page on the website of First Baptist Greenville contains some of the best videos for an annual stewardship emphasis.  Each year, FBC conducts an extensive stewardship promotion process outlined in the book, Weaving Our Lives Together.  An essential ingredient in recent years has been the use of short videos in worship.

Tabernacle Baptist Church of Carrollton, GA :  Tabernacle’s home web page contains a tab entitled “Planned Giving.”  Clicking on that tab reveals we pages developed by Virtual Giving that look like Tabernacle’s website.  The visitor has no idea that a vendor is providing the content.  Especially interesting are the Legacy Planner, Planned Giving Calculator and Tabernacle’s Wish List.
