Andy Stanley is pastor of Northpoint Community Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He is an excellent communicator in his writing as well as his speaking. His book does a remarkable job indentifying the great barrier to generous giving and living among Christians.
Stanley ’s conviction is that fear is our greatest barrier to giving. Once we can turn over our fear to God and begin to trust God, then we are free to live in God’s abundance for our lives. While not agreeing with everything in his book, I am grateful that Stanley steers clear of prosperity teaching and offers very practical guidance for beginning a giving life.
