You are receiving this update because you have successfully completed online registration to attend the 2008 General Assembly in Memphis, Tenn., June 19-20. This newsletter will be biweekly until May when it will become weekly. Each issue will feature important information you need to plan your time at the General Assembly. Please feel free to e-mail if you have specific questions. You can also visit the main General Assembly Web site, www.thefellowship.info/assembly, for the latest information and schedule. Assembly Highlights | What makes this year's Assembly unique

A special Assembly-wide time of prayer and discernment: As CBF marks 17 years of ministry, be part of this strategic prioritization process and help shape the future of the Fellowship movement.

A major schedule change: The commissioning of new CBF Global Missions field personnel will be Wednesday evening, June 18, at First Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn. Be sure to arrive early if you want to attend.

First Assembly with opportunities for giving back: Mission opportunities are available this year for those who want to come early to Memphis. The varied opportunities are listed online and designed for both groups and individuals.

First event for college students: The Memphis Sessions is for undergraduate and graduate students. It begins Sunday, June 15 with service projects, concerts, group discussions and opportunities to attend the Assembly.

Bulletin inserts can be ordered by e-mail or phone (770) 220-1620. An 11x 17" brochure/poster is also available to help spread the word about the Assembly.

Youth assembly and children's assembly and child care are offered during the General Assembly. Read more about this age-appropriate programming so your entire family's Assembly experience will be enjoyable and educational.
Airfare discount | Save on AirTran or Northwest flights to the Assembly
AirTran is offering a 10 percent discount on flights to Memphis (MEM) for travel June 15 through June 25. To make a reservation using the discount, call AirTran at (866) 683-8368 and reference event code MEM061908. Northwest Airlines is offering a 5-10 percent discount on Memphis flights June 16-23. Book online using the following Worldfile number NMDSW.
Hotel information | Make reservations soon; rooms are filling fast
The Marriott and Wyndham Garden Hotel are sold out. Rooms are available at the Doubletree Hotel, which is six blocks from the Convention Center. Rate is $109 per night. You must pre-register before making reservations at the CBF rate.
