The Carter Offering for Religious Freedom and Human Rights | Deciding what you want to be is not easy in some parts of our world. By virtue of where you are born, your culture dictates what you will be: Shia, Christian, Kurd, Muslim, Catholic, Orthodox. It’s not a matter of choice. The Carter Offering at this year’s General Assembly in Houston, Texas, will support on-going religious liberty projects of the European Baptist Federation and CBF field personnel Lita and Rick Sample. Learn more about the Offering at www.thefellowship.info/carteroffering.

Serve in South Dakota with Together for Hope | In four rural counties in South Dakota, the Fellowship is ministering through Together for Hope, its rural poverty ministry in 20 of the poorest counties in the United States. This long-term presence includes serving alongside American Indian leaders and reservations to better their communities. You and your church can become part of this long-term ministry. Learn more.
“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words” (Romans 8:26).
In order to provide care for spiritual, emotional and physical needs, a new generation of leaders in the area of pastoral counseling must be educated and trained. James Pruett, pastoral psychotherapist and supervisor for the Counseling Center in Charlotte, N.C., is working to generate conversations among graduate programs, hospitals, military and others to develop these new leaders. Pray for the necessary resources needed to train and certify new counselors. Pray also for a visionary catalyst to spark conversations among the groups involved.
