ATLANTA – The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s Initiative for Congregational Life debuts its new Web site, www.thefellowship.info/CL on Jan. 3. The Web site will host a variety of online resources specific to Congregational Life’s strategic initiatives of Faith Formation and Building Community.

"Our hope for the site is that people will find the resources they need for church ministry and personal growth," said Rick Bennett, the Fellowship’s associate coordinator for Faith Formation. "We want to be people’s first resource."

Among Faith Formation resources will be a frequently updated resource directory for local church ministry, which will include material for worship, teacher training and age group ministry, Bennett said. Extensive information about the missional church will be available, along with a list of church consultants and monthly resource columns from Bo Prosser, the Fellowship’s coordinator for congregational life. Also highlighted will be the Spiritual Formation Network and other spiritual formation resources, including information on personal spiritual growth. People will also be able to register online for Congregational Life events.

Building Community resources will include a CBF church finder, which will allow individuals to look for a partner church in their area, and links to CBF’s various partners. Bennett said the Web site will also host information about the Task Force for Ecumenism and Justice and the Fellowship’s numerous ministerial networks.

Another facet of Congregational Life, chaplaincy and pastoral care, will also have a Web presence with information on endorsement through the Fellowship, Bennett said.

Bennett invites churches and individuals to offer feedback on potential resources that would be most helpful in ministry or personal development.

CBF is a fellowship of Baptist Christians and churches who share a passion for the Great Commission and a commitment to Baptist principles of faith and practice. The Fellowship’s mission is to serve Christians and churches as they discover and fulfill their God-given mission.
