LIBERTY, Mo. – The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Missouri has named Jeff Langford as its new associate coordinator. Langford joined the CBFMO staff Nov. 1, after a unanimous vote from the CBF of Missouri Coordinating Council.

"We didn't want a great person who was wrong for the job, we wanted a great person for this job," Search Committee Chair John Tyler said. "Jeff is a better fit than we ever hoped. Jeff is a spiritually mature and growing Christian who has a deep faith that permeates every facet of his life. … (He also) brings gifts and skills that are particularly suited to the responsibilities he will have as associate coordinator."

Langford, 35, comes to CBFMO from the International Publishing Management Association in Liberty, where he served as general manager. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and speech communications from Central Missouri State University and a Master of Arts degree in literature from Purdue University.

As associate coordinator, Langford’s job responsibilities include implementation of CBFMO’s strategic plan, overseeing daily operations and providing leadership and encouragement to volunteer task groups and networks. CBFMO Coordinator Harold Phillips said, "I will be focused on the organization of CBFMO while Jeff will be expanding the Fellowship as a movement of individuals and churches throughout the state."

Tyler believes Langford will be able to lead CBFMO to the future. "He is able to look forward in Baptist life without being held hostage by our past history," Tyler said.

"CBFMO has a bright future, one full of promise and possibility," Langford said. "I’m excited at the prospect of helping it move forward."

Langford follows Leslie Limbaugh, who previously served CBFMO for more than three years as associate coordinator in the St. Louis area.

CBF is a fellowship of Baptist Christians and churches who share a passion for the Great Commission and a commitment to Baptist principles of faith and practice. The Fellowship’s mission is to serve Christians and churches as they discover and fulfill their God-given mission.
