Career
Career field personnel are Christians who sense the leadership of God to share their faith cross-culturally. These are long-term cross-cultural assignments fully funded by the Offering for Global Missions. The Fellowship operates in a world without borders . . . global missions rather than home and foreign missions. We seek not to compete with nor duplicate the efforts of others.
The Global Missions Office can utilize a wide variety of training and experience on teams ministering with the “most neglected.” Ministers, theological educators, ESL teachers, physicians, et al. can bring their individual gifts to the task and strengthen the overall team.
The Fellowship appoints couples (each must have a call to missions), single men, and single women as career service field personnel. After appointment, if marital status changes (other than the death of a spouse) the field personnel would resign. Divorce does not automatically exclude one from consideration.
Timing is a key factor in Gods calling. Over the past years, Fellowship Global Missions has grown from infancy, focusing on developing strategy, team structure and process. This has allowed us to build a healthy level of career field personnel congruent to the size and budget for our organization. For the time being, we will not use available funding for new career appointments. Our hope is to allow our present career personnel to continue to become more catalytic working with affiliates, volunteers, GSC, indigenous workers, churches and other resources to advance the kingdom of Christ.
