Faith House is a homeless shelter for women and children. It is location in an impoverished area. The structure used for the shelter is 100 years old and is in need of repair! Window replacement, painting, roofing, and porch repair are all needed.

Somali Medical Outreach Project

Ministering among the "Lead" people, Arica, Chile
Medical teams and professionals are needed to work among the "Lead" people of Arica. In the far north, several thousand people (men, women, & children) have been exposed to lead, mercury, and other heavy metals due to chemical waste dumping. Barrels of toxic chemicals continue to seep into the ground and drinking water around their homes. Basic medical attention as well as specialized services (optometrists, gynecologists, dermatologists, hematologists, etc) is desperately needed. Doctors, nurses, and dentists who can lead seminars and train medical personnel are needed in Armenia. Seminars and skills training will be held in hospitals, the medical school and at the ACMA training center. there would also be the opportunity for hands on work with doctors, residents, nurses and dentists in hospitals/clinics and medical outreaches through churches depending on the skills of the individual. Partnerships with local churches, community centers, and schools provide community entry points to reach out with the Love of Christ to the Roma. Immigrant Community Outreach, Southern Spain
Teams or individuals are needed to do immigrant community outreach. This includes, but is not limited to, classes to teach a trade (sewing, computer skills, etc), children's activities, cultural exchange cooking, development of media pieces, bible studies/discipleship training, coffee/tea house, feeding the hungry, vegetable delivery, and more. Volunteers are welcome, in collaboration with field personnel, to be creative with regards to ministries. Ministries will be formed around volunteers' skill sets and passions. This opportunity is very flexible. Spanish or French skills would be useful, but are not required as there are many English speaking immigrants in the area. Teams or individuals will work to build relationships with African immigrants through humanitarian outreach, micro-enterprise development, educational classes, etc. so that they might be able to share their personal testimony and how God has changed their life in a very personal way. volunteers may also be working with local African Evangelical Congregations by leading worship, discipleship/faith formation classes, children's ministry activities, music programs, etc. (in English). Spanish-speaking volunteers would have the opportunity to work with local Spanish Baptist Churches to provide training, lead services, and partner in ministries specific to a local church. Gulf Coast Rebuilding Efforts - Gulf Coast Area
Hurricane Katrina Relief work in Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama. Teams are needed for drywall removal, drywall installation, removal and installation of flooring, roofing, painting, and general clean-up. Teams will have basic conditions; sleeping bag or cot space, shower trailer, and possible use of a church kitchen. Swimming Instructors and Helpers - Helena, Arkansas
Instructors needed to teach swimming lessons to kids, ages 6-12, from Monday to Friday. Individuals will work in teams of two, instructing five to seven kids. Swimming instructor certification not required, but volunteers must be excellent swimmers capable of teaching skills to beginners. Red Cross and YMCA swimming program guidelines will be followed by all instructors. Lesson for kids will be from 10am to 1pm each day. Adult lessons will be evenings, 6pm to 7pm. Summer Camp Workers- Homestead, Florida
Summer camps workers needed to assist Open House Ministries summer camp, for approximately 70 children, from 8:30am to 2:30pm, Monday - Friday. Help bring faith, beauty, and order to a rural, poverty-stricken people needing to find Jesus in you. Lodging is available for $10 per person per day at a nearby mission center. Conversational English Teachers - China
Teams or individuals are needed to teach conversational English to 13 to 17 year olds in Sichuan province. This is a 10 day camp for junior high and high school students. Curriculum provided in advance for teachers. Volunteers will teach in two or three person teams, with three hours of English teaching in the mornings and afternoon activities organized by teachers (music, drama, art, games, etc.). AIDS Ministry Initiative - Knoxville, TN
Samaritan Ministry, an AIDS ministry in Knoxville, is seeking a team from a local church to mentor in building a similar work. Samaritan Ministry will provide training and technical support, including assisting with the identification of a church lay point person, and structure for oversight of the ministry by church staff. This type of ""affiliate ministry"" will depend on the talents of the volunteer team, the resources available, and the community need. Assessment of these areas will be conducted with the assistance of Samaritan Ministry. In addition, HIV/AIDS training is mandatory, and will be provided by Samaritan Ministry, a CBF partner. Community Service Project- Nationwide
This project will support an AIDS service organization in your community or Samaritan Ministry in Knoxville by serving in a project designed to assist individuals living with HIV/AIDS. The volunteer team will contact a local AIDS service organization and identify client needs and areas of ministry. Once this needs assessment is finished, the team develops a plan to meet the needs. A team can choose to work with Samaritan Ministry in Knoxville. Grocery deliveries, transportation, friendship, a Starbucks coffee, and provision of toiletry articles are some examples of how teams can be Christ in this ministry. Weekend Mission Project - Knoxville, TN
This project is designed to be completed in a long weekend, completing an assignment for an individual or agency located in Knoxville. A couple is needed to assist with the program and provide hospitality ministry for PORTA – the Albania House in Athens, for a period of from 3 weeks to 2 months, for a agreed-upon timeframe, sometime between May and July, 2011. Duties include coordination of volunteers, assistance with management of day-to-day operations and encouragement of small groups of English-speaking Albanian believers.

An individual is needed to provide general electronic and Internet technology assistance for PORTA –the Albania House in Athens. For a period of from 1 to 3 weeks, the person would advise, trouble-shoot technical problems, make repairs, propose further technological development, etc. regarding the Computer Learning Center at PORTA, media options, as well as other technology-related issues to support this ministry among Albanian immigrants in Athens, Greece.

Individuals with a concern for young people and cross-cultural experience are needed to inspire and train Albanian immigrant youth toward the personal disciplines necessary to develop as leaders, in school and in the future. The Timothy Project coordinates mission trips and activities for church groups (primarily youth) in the southeastern United States.  They work with groups to coordinate their missions activities, lodging, meals, and more. Groups can do VBS or Back Yard Bible Clubs for at-risk children, ministry to homeless, construction, environmental stewardship, or a

English, Sport, or Roma Children's Camp, Czech Republic
Teams of 7-10 individuals are needed to assist with English, sports or children's camps. The English camp will be an outreach to the community. Team members will speak in schools, do daily presentations, and do activities to assist the local ministry in making contact in the community. The sports camp will be very similar, only with sports as the theme. The Roma Children's Camp will provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Roma children by providing a church group experience; this includes Bible studies, games, crafts, etc. When: Ongoing Length: One week

Roma Carelink, Slovakia
Individuals and small teams (3-5 people) are needed to help provide access to health care and health education for isolated Roma communities. Partnerships with local churches, community centers, and schools provide community entry points to reach out with the Love of Christ to the Roma. Assignments will be planned around the specialties of team members. Women's health, pediatric health, community health issues, etc--the possibilities are limited only by the interests of the team. Partnerships with Indigenous Ministries, Slovakia or Czech Republic
Teams of 5-20 individuals are needed to serve alongside of local ministry partner ministries doing Backyard Bible Clubs, Youth Camps, Sports Camps, Family Camps, English Outreach Camps, and other assignments according to teams' gifts and interests. When: Ongoing Length: 7-10 days

Prayer and Visioning Encounter focused of Human Trafficking, Los Angeles
Groups (no larger than 10 or 12 people) are invited to receive training on how to respond to potential trafficking situations in their local communities, visit high risk areas for trafficking in Los Angeles, meet a trafficking survivor, participate in community outreach, and offer prayer support for local anti-human trafficking workers and victims.
When: Summer 2010 (exact date TBA) Length: One week

Immigrant Community Outreach, Southern Spain
Teams or individuals are needed to do immigrant community outreach. This includes, but is not limited to, classes to teach a trade (sewing, computer skills, etc), children's activities, cultural exchange cooking, development of media pieces, bible studies/discipleship training, coffee/tea house, feeding the hungry, vegetable delivery, and more. Volunteers are welcome, in collaboration with field personnel, to be creative with regards to ministries. Ministries will be formed around volunteers' skill sets and passions. This opportunity is very flexible. Spanish or French skills would be useful, but are not required as there are many English speaking immigrants in the area. When: Ongoing Length: Open (up to 3 months)

Social and Spiritual Outreach Volunteer(s), Southern Spain
Teams or individuals will work to build relationships with African immigrants through humanitarian outreach, micro-enterprise development, educational classes, etc. so that they might be able to share their personal testimony and how God has changed their life in a very personal way. volunteers may also be working with local African Evangelical Congregations by leading worship, discipleship/faith formation classes, children's ministry activities, music programs, etc. (in English). Spanish-speaking volunteers would have the opportunity to work with local Spanish Baptist Churches to provide training, lead services, and partner in ministries specific to a local church. Bedouin Ministry & Hunger Relief, Lebanon
Teams are needed to assist with ministry in Bedouin areas. Ministries include working with children, preparing and delivering food and medicine, building, and more. When: Ongoing Length: 10 days

Retreat Center Construction, Lebanon
Teams are needed to help in the contraction of a retreat center which will be a place where pastors and Christians from the Middle East and Africa can go for training, relaxation, and other opportunities. Help with painting, setting cement blocks, plumbing, landscaping, and electrical work are all needed. Skills in those at least one of those areas are required.

Mime and Drama Teams for Albanians in Athens, Greece

Groups are needed to perform short, Christian dramas for both adult and children’s audiences. Workshops for those interested in drama could also be offered through PORTA – the Albania House in Athens. Translation assistance is available.

VBS leadership for Albanians in Athens, Greece
A team is needed to provide crafts, recreation and drama for VBS in June, 2011 at the Second Greek Evangelical Church in Athens, Greece. Most of the children are from Albanian immigrant families and are ministered to through the church and PORTA – the Albania House in Athens. Translation assistance is available.

Social Ministries and Construction - Alabama
Sowing Seeds of Hope, A Cooperative Baptist Fellowship ministry, offers a variety of social ministries and construction opportunities. Individuals are needed to help in the areas of: housing rehabilitation; literacy; community development projects; health care; sports/drama camps for youth and children; partnerships with local organizations and churches; and other special projects in keeping with specific skills/interests of the volunteer group. These projects are designed in partnership with the local community to make the best use of the abilities/skills/talents of the groups or individuals who partner with us. When: Open Length: Ongoing

Urban Summer Camp and Homeless Ministry- Touching Miami with Love
Teams will coordinate a summer camp for children (K-5), lead worship services to include preaching, assist with a clothing closet, fellowship with the homeless, and prepare meals. Afternoons and evenings will include working in a local gardening project, BBQ cookout, movie night, and a tour of the historic Overtown and downtown Miami districts. Teams need to have 15 or 25 people to staff all projects and events during the week. Cost is $240 per person for room and board, field trip, and administrative fees. Does not include transportation to and from Miami. When: Summer Length: One week

Field Trips for Impoverished Youth - Owsley County, Kentucky
Teams are needed to arrange, fund, and chaperone field trips for the poor youth of Owsley county. Few have been more than 50 miles from their homes. An activity to Natural Bridge State Park for a cookout and swimming would be a rare opportunity for the young people of this area. Help give these kids a worldview outside Owsley county while drawing them a picture of Christ. Day trips can be made to numerous locations within a 200 mile radius. School buses, and drivers, can be leased for the field trip. No other vehicles are available for rent within 60 miles. Length: One to five days When: Summer or during school breaks

VBS/Receation Team - Moldova
Team needed to assist local believers in holding a Vacation bible School/Day Camp in a Romany village. The VBS/Camp will be in the afternoons. The team will coordinate with a local pastor to arrange physical recreation, music, crafts, and other activities. Local musicians can assist with a music component. Ideally, a youth program will be held in the evenings with activties to include English lessons, jewelry making, sports, music camps, etc. Creative thinking for youth activities welcomed. The team will stay in the homes of local believers. When: Summer 2010 Length: 8 days to 2 weeks, depending on team.
