As ministry coordinators with Sowing Seeds of Hope, the Stories serve in Perry County, Ala. The county is one of the focal counties of Together for Hope, the Fellowship’s rural poverty initiative, which has a long-term commitment to working with people in 20 of the nation’s poorest counties. The Stories serve as communications coordinators, cultivating relationships with churches, and the local community. In addition, they will facilitate after-school literacy programs, sports ministries, camps and other programs.
“CBF's 20-year commitment to the Sowing Seeds of Hope and Together for Hope ministries is a true example of partnership missions,” Matt said. “It is a lasting commitment to a community to work together in order to impact their lives, encourage them in their faith development, and hopefully give them a chance to get out of the poverty cycle.”
