Missions

As an artist in residence, Carita lives in the local community and collaborates with artists from various cultures and faith traditions. A dancer, Carita develops pieces that can be used in corporate and individual worship, reflecting her cross-cultural experience and interpreting the life of the local community.

 

“When people ask me why I am engaging in full-time missions service, I tell them two things – where Gods sends me I go; and because I will have the opportunity to dance for Jesus on a full-time basis,” Carita said. “Dancing for Jesus is something that I could never turn down.  I told Jesus like the prophet Isaiah, ‘Send me, I’ll go!’ Over the past seven years, he has done just that; so where he sends me, I go. In addition, I have had a lifetime passion and talent for dance so to be able to combine my passion for dance with my love for Christ, my seminary education, and my call to the great commission, is truly an answer to my prayers.”
