Larry & Sarah Ballew, representatives

Location:
Macau, China

Hometowns: Hanford, Calif. and Blacksburg, Va.

Commissioned: 2005

As CBF representatives to China, the Ballews work in Macau, a city of more than 500,000 people living in an area of less than 12 square miles. Their ministry includes building relationships in local schools, restaurants and in other areas. They also teach English classes as a way to meet and build friendships.

“The number one need of everyone we work with is relationship with Jesus Christ,” Larry said.

“Macau has less than 1 percent Christian in a city of over 500,000 people. There are many, many needs and opportunities but not enough Christian workers,” Sarah said.

The Ballews work with local churches and organizations and enjoy building bridges for ministry between Macau and U.S. churches.
