Join the Fellowship's long-term
earthquake response in Haiti
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is responding to the devastating Jan. 12, 2010, earthquake in Haiti. The Fellowship's long-term disaster response plan includes:
• Identifying, training and empowering a team of Haitians to strategize and lead long-term recovery efforts.
• Meeting needs for food and temporary shelter.
• Rebuilding orphanages.
• Developing low-cost ways to harvest and treat water, making it safe to drink and use in agriculture.
• Micro-enterprise efforts including savings and credit associations, vocational training for women and business development.
• Assistance for coping with post-traumatic stress, including art therapy for children.
• Building earthquake-resistant housing
• Medical recovery initiatives such as making available low-cost prosthetics to Haitians who lost limbs in the earthquake.

• Rebuild SiloĆ« church in Haiti
• Build a house in Haiti: In partnership with several organizations, the Fellowship aims to build 1,000 permanent houses in the area of Grand Goave, Haiti over the next three years. The partnership, called the Haiti Housing Network, will meet a desperate need for earthquake survivors to move from tent cities to better, permanent housing. Each house costs $3,500 to construct, and you can help by contributing toward the cost of these homes. Learn more and about how you can give.
