Pre-Assembly Prayer Retreat
"Restoring our Hearts: Nurturing the Gift of Courage"
Led by Marjorie Thompson

Cost: $100
Come rest, discover and grow at this spiritual formation retreat featuring Marjorie Thompson based on her book, "The Gift of Encouragement: Restoring Heart to Those Who Have Lost It." During this experience, you will explore courage in four arenas: self, work, others and God. Thompson, a leading voice for Christian spirituality, has served as director of the Pathways Center for Spiritual Leadership and as spiritual director to Companions in Christ, a program of Upper Room Ministries. Greensboro Sessions for College Students
"Conversations About Race and Faith"
June 24-28, First Baptist Church, Greensboro
Cost: $65
College and graduate students are invited to come to Greensboro to discuss an important topic, network with young adults and others in the CBF movement and experience General Assembly and auxiliary events together. Dawnings at the Leadership Institute

Is your church searching for its missional identity? The focus of this year’s Leadership Institute is Dawnings, the process by which churches begin living missionally. Baptist Women in Ministry's 30th Anniversary and Celebration
7:00 p.m., First Baptist Church, Greensboro

Baptist Women in Ministry (BWIM) invites you to celebrate its 30th anniversary with worship and a fellowship reception. Nancy Sehested will preach and Suzii Paynter will be the special guest. The worship theme, "Refresh the Dream" is inspired by Maya Angelou's1993 inaugural poem. Plan to share in this special time of good music, insightful preaching and unforgettable fellowship. Wake Forest School of Divinity Reception for friends and alumni will be at the International Civil Rights Museum, site of Woolworth's where the national student sit-in movement was launched. Buses from the hotel to the museum will leave at 5:15 and 5:30 p.m. and return at 7:15 and 7:30 p.m. Complimentary museum tours are available during the reception. Transportation to the event will be provided from the hotel.
