Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Offering
for Religious Liberty and Human Rights

In a five-year emphasis, a special offering is being collected as part of the Fellowship’s annual General Assembly. The proceeds of this offering, in honor of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, are used to support causes that increase religious liberty and improve human rights among the world’s communities.

One-third of each year’s offering goes to the Baptist World Alliance for its continuing efforts to fight for religious liberty. Two-thirds is administered by the Fellowship through partnering with organizations with on-going religious liberty initiatives. In this, the fourth year of the Offering, the Fellowship's portion will be distributed to the European Baptist Federation. The offering will be collected during the Thursday and Friday evening General Sessions.

How to give:

  • Contribution envelopes will be available at both evening General Sessions of the General Assembly.
  • Send a check payable to Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, P.O. Box 101699, Atlanta, GA., 30392. Designate “Carter Offering” in the memo line.
  • Your church may wish to collect a special offering earmarked for the Carter Offering. Stories, promotional text and basic information about the offering are available for newsletters and bulletins inserts.

About this year's receipent:

The European Baptist Federation consists of 51 member Unions in almost every country of Europe and Central Asia and six members in the Middle East. The funds from the Fellowship’s offering will allow the EBF the capacity to travel to countries where religious freedom is an issue, conduct thorough investigations in order to make effective responses, and assist local Unions and their churches to effectively campaign for religious freedom in their given situation. Read about how the EBF used funds from last year's Carter Offering.
