David and Julie Brown

Location: Marseille, France

Commissioned: 2002

Since 2002, David and Julie Brown have ministered among migrants seeking refuge in Europe. Many of these migrants come from sub-Saharan Africa, where immense poverty, civil war, ethnic strife and drought have led thousands to leave their home countries in search of a better life.

Most journey toward Europe, where they hope to find jobs and earn money to support their families back home. For those who survive the dangerous journey and reach Europe, they discover that finding work is often difficult. Many struggle with basic needs, leaving them among Europe’s most neglected and vulnerable populations.

In 2010, the Browns moved to southern France, where they minister among this growing migrant population and help local churches develop outreach ministries to people in need. Through music programs, counseling, English classes and numerous other ministries that help French churches minister to migrants, the Browns form relationships and share God’s love.

The Browns are supported through CBF’s Offering for Global Missions, which funds salaries and ministry and living expenses of many CBF field personnel. Your gifts to the Offering are vital to keeping field personnel like the Greens on the mission field.
