GM Personnel Training & Selection Assistant Manager

RESPONSIBILITY:

To coordinate the major training programs related to Global Missions, and assist in the Field Personnel candidate selection process. 

REPORTS TO

Missiologist and Personnel Selection Manager

RELATES TO

Global Missions Administrative Cluster, Leadership Development Office, Congregational Life Office, Global Missions Field Teams, Personnel Selection Committee of the Coordinating Council, State and Regional CBF groups, constituents, Missions Candidates.

DUTIES:

  • Design and coordinate with GM Personnel Selection/Training, orientation programs for new field personnel in all categories of appointment; reorientation/debriefing programs for field personnel on scheduled leave or concluding assignments in all categories of appointment.  25%
  • Design and coordinate with GM Personnel Selection/Training team, continuous GM staff and field personnel (all categories of appointment) training/lifelong learning.  25%
  • Evaluate, analyze, and implement training needed for teams, affinity groups, and specialized endeavors. 15%
  • Assist the GM Personnel Selection/Training team with the candidate appointment process for all categories of field personnel, including online cohort participation, candidate interviewing and selection, and Exploratory Conference participation.  25%
  • Serve as a member of the Global Missions Administrative Cluster (meeting, speaking, representing, and participating in task groups) 10%
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

 

EDUCATION

College degree required; graduate degree from seminary or in adult education or human resources preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

 

At least five years of mission experience, experience managing and developing training programs; Web development program experience; Cross-cultural experience is required.  Familiarity with CBF mission endeavors preferred.
